Kicker CompVR 15 Inch Subwoofer
This is one of the more expensive options, but it is a big step up from the others here. The biggest difference you'll get when you decide to spend a little more and find a better product is that you'll of course get a better sound, and hopefully get something that won't wear out anytime soon. When you decide to spend more you want to find something that will last. A lot of subs die out after a while of good hard use, but the better products will last even while you're using it at it's power peak performance.
You should really have a 1,000 Watt amp or higher to take full advantage of what this sub can do, but you will still get an impressive sound from something lower.
Some of the 15 inch subwoofer details include:
- 4-ohm impedance
- 500 Watts RMS; 1000 Watts power peak
- 25-500 Hz frequency response
- Injection molded cone with 360 degree back bracing
- 1 year limited warranty

- Voice Coil Size 2 Inch
- 4-ohm impedance
- Mounting depth of 6 inches

15 Inch Subwoofers Information
When you go with a bigger 15 inch subwoofer you're going to get a lot more kick. What's great about this size is that it's big enough that you'll get a great sound, but small enough that it should easily fit into any space without being too noticable.
You'll notice I suggested a sealed bass box above as an option for setting up your subs, but a number of these products can be set up freely and do just fine, it's just a matter of the space you have available to you and how you think it sounds best.
When you are trying to decide what 15 inch subwoofer to get you'll want to consider how you are going to be setting it up, the wattage you want, and of course how much you are looking to spend. The greatest thing the amount of money you are able to spend will affect is possibly the sound quality, and the durability of the subwoofer. A lot of cheaper products don't tend to last as long. Of course, this is not a strict rule and you may find a product that lasts for your situation for years that is relatively cheap. Also, if you're not pushing the product to it's maximum power peak your sub is likely to last longer than someone who is listening at the maximum power handling.
In short, don't worry too much about picking the wrong product, find the size and wattage you are looking for and read some reviews of what other people have experienced with the product and hope for the best. Beyond the technical details there isn't much in terms of rules for how to find the 15 inch subwoofers that will sound the way you want them to.
